Are all New, Used and Certified Pre-Owned vehicles eligible for coverage?

Yes, all vehicles New, Used and Certified Pre-Owned are eligible for the Volvo VIP Vehicle Service Contract Plans regardless of vehicle status, or where the vehicle was originally purchased.

To be eligible for purchase, vehicles must still be covered under the original manufacturer's warranty.

I recently purchased a Volvo vehicle from a non-Volvo retailer. Am I eligible to purchase VIP Protection plans online from your dealership?

Yes! Regardless of where the vehicle was purchased from, all Volvo models are eligible to purchase. Vehicle must be current model year plus 15 previous model years or newer and under 105,000 miles.

I am interested in purchasing the Prepaid Maintenance and Wear Maintenance plans. Will I save money versus paying for services and brakes/rotors individually at the dealership?

I recently purchased a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle from my local Volvo retailer. Am I eligible to purchase the VIP CPO Warranty Upgrade plan online from your dealership?

Unfortunately, things have recently changed with the CPO Warranty Upgrade plans. If your local dealer is a participating VIP dealership, and actively offers the Genuine Volvo VIP CPO Warranty Upgrade plans, regardless of what price they are offering, they are the only dealership that can offer and sell the plan. VIP CPO Warranty Upgrade plans must be purchased from the original selling dealer in which the vehicle was purchased from.

However, if your local Volvo retailer does NOT offer the Genuine Volvo VIP CPO Warranty Upgrade plans (when requested) and a 3rd party coverage is offered instead, you will have the opportunity to purchase the Volvo CPO Warranty Upgrade plan from another Volvo VIP Retailer. We simply need the full VIN and the dealership in which the vehicle was purchased from, and we can submit a CPO Upgrade exception request for approval to sell the plan.

If the above exception does not apply, we recommend purchasing the traditional Volvo VIP Vehicle Service Contract Plan, which is fully eligible for all status vehicles, and in some cases is a more affordable option for the customer.

I am interested in the Volvo VIP Road Hazard Tire/Wheel Protection plan to protect against flat tires and pothole damage. Am I eligible to purchase?

Yes! Regardless of when your Volvo was purchased or which dealership you purchased from, all Volvo models are eligible to purchase VIP Road Hazard Tire/Wheel Protection online. There is no vehicle age or vehicle mileage limitations, as all vehicles are eligible.

In regards to the Volvo VIP Road Hazard Tire/Wheel Protection Plan Bundles, I see there are some state restrictions which exclude certain components of plan coverage. How will this apply when purchasing from Steingold Volvo Cars in Rhode Island?

Great question! Various state restrictions as described in the Terms & Conditions do NOT apply, as this service contract is governed by the laws of the state in which it is SOLD. Since our dealership (Steingold Volvo Cars in Pawtucket, Rhode Island) is listed as the selling dealer of the plan, no state restrictions will apply as there are no amendments listed for the state of Rhode Island. Coverage including Windshield Replacement and Interior Repair Services are fully available to residents of all states.
